Cheap Laptop Under $130: Toughbook CF-48X with Ubuntu Netbook Edition

I was on Property Room and saw several Panasonic Toughbook CF-48 laptops being auctioned. I figured it's worth about $100, without power cord or OS. The laptop plus shipping cost $116.29 and the power cord plus shipping cost $12.10 on eBay. Ubuntu Netbook Edition - a popular Linux operating system - is free, of course.

Property Room auctions items confiscated by police; I have a Peavey guitar amplifier with the case number and detective's name on a tag. I think this laptop was used by the Collier County Sheriff's Office (according to stickers left on it) and was sold when they upgraded. When tested unit powered on and booted to system BIOS. Exterior of laptop is in fair cosmetic condition with scuffs and sticker residue. Interior shows moderate signs of wear. Display is bright with no visible defects. Auction is for laptop and battery only. No power adapter cables, software or any other accessories are included.
