Internet Week NY 2009 - Day 4 - NSFW Content, BUGging out, and the Microsoft Surface

Don't look for Day 3 - I did not go to any events and did not write about them

Time Warner Conversations

Thursday began, literally, with a networking breakfast at the Time Warner Center prior to the panel NSFW The Best Creative Content Online. I found myself at a table with 4 people from Mad magazine, which had corrupted my impressionable youth.
I was a bit surprised that all 3 panelists were online video producers, but that has actually been my primary focus this week.
I left convinced that the current Jonathan Stern and friendsshort-form web tv movement is quite similar to the independent filmmakers I knew in the mid 80s. After, I talked with Jonathan Stern who also spoke at the NYTVF panel on Tuesday - I think he has his finger on the pulse of web tv and a production model that works. Moderator: Cyndi Stivers (Managing Editor, EW.com) Panelists: Josh Abramson (Founder, CollegeHumor.com), Andrew Steele (Creative Director, Funny or Die), Jonathan Stern (Producer, Wainy Days, Horrible People, TheWB.com's Childrens' Hospital)
