Up Against the War (PROTEST On) Screenshot

A political application of JavaScript - politics aside, the effects are pretty radical. At intervals, the regular content of the page is replaced: images with images of "Peace Pins;" form elements display anti-war quotes; the title and status bar also display the quotes (and the display is dynamically adjusted to last longer for lengthy quotes); the colors flash (to the rhythm of "Machine Gun" by Jimi Hendrix) - then all the original values are reset - until the next PROTEST.  All effects can be controlled and enabled/disabled by GUI panel. Web page was included in the anti-war exhibit at Grace Episcopal Church during the Jersey City Arts Festival in print form. Effects could be used to announce events for bands, organizations, etc. - they are adjustable and don't have to be this drastic. Also integrated with first development of QuizBlender for a quiz on anti-war quotes titled "Uncle Sam's Auntie." Described as one of the best web sites on the anti-war ring, by top web designer Randall Goya, by Jim's blog.
